I am truly proud of each website I've created. I'm even more proud of the strong relationships and friendships that have been built along the way.

UX Design

As a User experience (UX) designer, I build apps and websites with the people who will be using them in mind. I care deeply about ensuring that the app or website meets user needs while being enjoyable and user-friendly.
I ensure that we're meeting these goals through empathizing with users, defining their pain points, ideating on solutions to solve those problems, creating wireframes and prototypes, and testing and iterating on designs.

I am proud of each of these projects that I created as I worked through Google's UX Design Professional Certificate and would welcome the opportunity to discuss them with you!

Throughout this course, I learned that UX is the intersection of many of my passions. It combines my passion for inclusion, my love of understanding and creating for others, and my enjoyment of Visual Arts. I am excited to bring my UX experience into building your website!
I really took this project in small stages. After I drew the robots, I conducted testing with children to ensure that the faces expressed the intended emotions. I also conducted user testing after each step of creating the wireframe, low-fidelity prototype, and hi-fidelity prototype. I believe in this concept and hope to take it from prototype to real app someday.
I was inspired to create this project when a family member asked me for resources for a friend of hers who is struggling with literacy. I was shocked by what I found in my competitive audit. My area has very few resources for these individuals, and the resources that exist are very wordy and would be difficult for individuals with limited literacy to use. I enjoyed the challenge of designing with narration, alternatives to typing, icons, and strategic colors to help these individuals through the user flow.
This was my first User Experience Design project, and I can't overstate how much I learned. Most importantly, I really connected with the users I interviewed and was very motivated to create the app they needed. I also made a big mistake by creating images that were sized to fill the entire device screen. The course later taught responsive websites, and I realized my error. I recreated the app in Adobe XD to fix this error and as an opportunity to learn new software.
