Before I begin, I want to state that every platform has its advocates! It's great that there are so many choices to suit various needs and budgets. What I've shared here is purely my personal opinion based on my experiences. Your journey might be different, and that's the beauty of having options!

Wix:

• Free but with Ads: Your free site will have Wix ads.
• Pay for Insights: Tracking your site's success? That's a paid feature.
• Stuck with Wix: Once you're on Wix, moving elsewhere is tough.
• Changes Aren't Easy: Big updates can be tricky.
• Watch Your Budget: Costs creep up with more features.

GoDaddy:

• Basics Aren't Enough: You'll pay more for key features.
• The Upsell Game: They often try to sell extra stuff.
• Support? It Varies: Getting help can be hit or miss.

Squarespace:

• Design Flex, But Limited: Not as bendy as you might like.
• A Bit Pricey: Tends to cost more.
• Design Commitment: Hard to switch styles later.

WordPress:

• Steep Learning Curve: It’s not super beginner-friendly.
• Customizing Takes Time: Personalizing takes effort.
• Earning Rules: There are hoops to jump through for monetizing.
• Plugin Pitfalls: Extra features could mean security risks.
• SEO Isn't Magic: SEO tools have their limits.
• Blog Beware: You could lose your blog if you're not careful.

Webflow: A Dream Team with Designers

Thinking about teaming up with a designer? (Hopefully me!) Webflow is your go-to:

• Creative Freedom: It's a canvas for unique designs.
• Friendly for You Too: Easy to handle once it's set up.
• Pricing? Clear as Day: Though choosing the right plan needs thought.

Nothing is perfect. Here are some cons:

• Desktop only: It doesn't have a mobile version. So that means as your designer, my laptop travels nearly everywhere with me now.
• E-commerce: Full transparency, I haven't had a request to build an e-commerce site in Webflow yet, but I hear that they are still building these features.

Webflow really shines when you're in cahoots with a designer. It melds creative freedom with ease, perfect for both of us.
